VC: Malivoire’s Ladybug is consistently one of Ontario’s most expressive and classy rosés. The new-look 2008 is a dry, refreshing and brightly fruity wine with notes of strawberry, peach, and raspberry. It can be enjoyed as a springtime sipper on the patio. My note: Floods the senses with wild field raspberries and strawberries, resting on a tart, mouth-watering core of bright cranberries. Medium-bodied. A wonderful aperitif. Food matches: ham, fresh veggies, chicken, spring rolls.
