comments:

VC: This family winery is driven by a passion for crafting quality wines. Far from rustic, this modern winery on the west side of Sicily employs state-of-the-art winemaking tools to achieve their lofty goals. Dry with a medium body, this velvety smooth Nero d’Avola is redolent with red cherry, mixed berry and spicy pepper aromas and flavors leading to a long, fresh finish. My note: Full-bodied deep purple plums and black cherries with a blanket of smoky oak. Day, brooding, temperamental and interesting. Food matches: grilled veal chops, risotto.
